August 27, 2025 – The Occupational Safety and Health Management Office of UPM organized a course titled "Safety Aspects in Engineering Projects and Their Impact on the SDGs."
This course aimed to ensure that engineering projects are carried out safely, ethically, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — not just to complete the project, but also to safeguard lives, the well-being of workers, the community, and the environment.
The course was delivered by Mr. Rusli Ab. Wahab, a retiree from INSTEP Petronas.
It is hoped that participants gained valuable knowledge, increased their awareness of the importance of safety, and will apply the knowledge acquired in their daily tasks.
The course also aspires to cultivate a more disciplined, responsible, and competitive workforce, towards the realization of safe, high-quality, and sustainable engineering projects.
